Raised in Gisborne, based in Tamaki Makaurau, DJ and producer Hyan has been carving his name into Aotearoa’s electronic music scene over the past few years. 

Hyan is best known for high energy DJ sets, packed with his edits and remixes, as well as his charismatic personality. His unique take on UKG, Baseline, House and Breakbeats has seen him take off in the past year, from packing out shows across the country to receiving millions of streams on his releases. Hyan’s buzz is undeniable.

Hyan’s remixes and original tracks have been played on radio stations like George FM, BBC 1xtra, Rinse FM & Triple J and received plays and praise by DJ’s world wide. The past year has seen Hyan move to dropping original music, as well as his classic remixes and bootlegs. In 2023 Hyan’s track Final Credits Flowdan Dub reached #1 on the Soundcloud all genre’s chart and sat at #1 on the Soundcloud House chart for 3 months straight.

As well as headlining his own tours around New Zealand, Hyan has been on support for international artists such as Hamdi, Bullet Tooth, Badger, Skin On Skin, Kessler, MPH, 33 Below & more.

With a big year ahead, including the release of his first solo EP, Hyan shows no sign of slowing down.
