Raised in Gisborne, based in Tamaki Makaurau, DJ and producer Hyan is carving his name into Aotearoa’s electronic music scene. 

Hyan is best known for high energy DJ sets, packed with edits and remixes, as well as his charismatic personality. Hyan’s Kiwi take on UKG, Baseline, House and Breakbeats has seen him take off, having just completed his first UK tour as well as numerous shows all across Aotearoa.

2024 has seen Hyan continue to release his classic bootleg’s alongside original music and remixes, collaborating with artists like MELODOWNZ, Caru, Deadforest & Dera Meelan and dropping official remixes for Sachi, Scribe & Who Shot Scott. 

This year, Hyan has also released music on Pull Up Recordings & EC2A and received plays on George FM, BBC 1xtra, Rinse FM, Boiler Room & Triple J, as well as support from DJ’s world wide. In 2023 Hyan’s track Final Credits Flowdan Dub reached #1 on the Soundcloud all genre’s chart and sat at #1 on the Soundcloud House chart for 3 months straight. 

As well as headline tours of New Zealand, Hyan has supported international artists such as Skin On Skin, Hamdi, Bullet Tooth, Badger, Soul Mass Transit System, Kessler, MPH, 33 Below & more.
